In 2005 Misty Valley became a household name among coffee aficionados. Unfortunately for Misty Valley, the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange, in hopes of rewarding farmers with fair pay for all crops, homogenized the country's coffees. This means small lot separation and processing became impossible without private cooperations. However, two years ago, the Idido Valley created its own privatized cooperative which brought Misty Valley back to the market.
